Here is a New Year's present for you, my son. It is advice about girls that I am sure you will ignore. There are many types of girls but the worst are the ones who will toy with you like a mouse. These chicks get off on getting a reaction.
She is the one with few female friends. She hangs out with men. She is fun and lively and is the center of attention. Everyone wants her to come to their party, including you; but, instead of showing up alone, she will arrive with a date. Don't be fooled by the delusion that if only you did one thing different, she would quit toying with you and truly fall in love with you. Son, this is not the case.
You are no match for a girl such as this because you wouldn't put her in her place. You are kind. You don't miss her phone call. You always show up whenever she calls. There is a man who won't do that, and she will fall in love with him. For manipulators understand one another. They are indifferent to others' pain. They don't know what it is to be kind, but in the long race, this is what wins.
Talk to the girl in the kitchen who is sitting with a friend. The one with a great laugh and a nice voice. She is respectful of you and listens to your stories. She may not be fashionable or lovely, but you like the way she looks. Take a chance on this girl with your feelings. And when in doubt, ask your sister.
