When things seem awful and spinning out of control, list 10 good things about yourself and 10 good things about your life (the latter was a much easier list for me to complete!). There is research that ruminating on past slights can make you depressed and angry. I think that is true for me, so it may be for you also. Try it out and smile and go forward because you don't know where you are going but you do know where you have been.
